Telltale Games announced on Friday that it was laying off all but 25 employees, saying it had endured “an incredibly difficult year” in which critical successes were not met with good enough sales to stay in business.
Subsequent reports said The Walking Dead: The Final Season, whose first episode premiered Aug. 14, would be canceled incomplete. The second episode is due Sept. 25. Telltale Games has not confirmed those reports and a request for comment Friday evening has not been returned.

Hutchison signed her note with her own name and those of her characters over the years, including Clementine, Toad Junior and Beauty (The Wolf Among Us), Glori Danver (Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent) and Trixie Trotter (Back to the Future: The Game). She also had a role in Telltale’s Minecraft: Story Mode, as Isa.
